Most of my childhood was spent either in a library looking for the next good book to read, or outside in search of a tree under which I could sit and read. I always knew I wanted to be a writer.

Stories are amazing. The stories we listen to have such a power to shape us, both individually and as a culture. Studying Classics at university gave me a chance to explore some of the earliest storytelling that underpins Western civilisation, from the epic poems that predate writing to the world’s first novel.

Aside from writing, my favourite things include being outdoors, sharing meals with friends and family, and enjoying a coffee at the local farm.
